Will do. There has been a couple over the years. But they went for too much.

Often for sale on german ebay

But wrong options...

Ha , this one doesn't look abused .

Yep, the German site has quite some high end chairs from time to time .

What price range were they bought ?

Never measured. Feels about right. Suspension controls pitching really well too.

Outdoors its OK but programming or steering is less direct than my non brushless chairs.

Still seems way too nose heavy indoors. And a little housework has its motors very hot which seems to trip something that suddenly means no torque at all. It then cannot manoever or turn... You are stuck! And then seems to pull a ton of power from the battery. I wonder if using stainless bolts in the motors wheel rim is affecting it somehow? Its also way less accurate and intuitive at low speeds indoors than I am used to.

Strange .

We used to run 20 -30 km , with carer and tons of stuff , that motors are warm to touch ; guess below 50 degree C . :?

With wider wheelbase , it actually makes it easier to turn , doesn't it ? ;)

Perhaps reprogramming it is making the motors work too aggressively? When it cuts out does it come back to normal when it cools down? How long does it take?

It sounds like the contrast between it and your self made chairs is more than you thought it would be. Maybe with a few more hours in it it will start to feel better.

With turn acc at 70, (max it allows) and turn dec at 100, it still feels vague. Esp at low speeds. Harder to move about indoors compared to my other chairs. Its more like sailing a boat rather than using a mouse! When it stops working its like some switch gets flipped. And torque just stops. No rollback, just almost zero torque. It will not move. Once it begins you can forget it. Wait hours to cool motors. I think...

Dont get it. May speak to invacare/dynamic.

Maybe with a few more hours in it it will start to feel better.

I wont be getting used to it. I will make it work properly, my way, or get rid of it! I cant cope with anything that cant be steered properly! If I cant tear about the house at speed in confidence it isn't me thats wrong!

It seems strange to have a limit on the acceleration value, but I guess this is adequate for 99% of their userbase. Be interested to hear why Invacare/Dynamic imposed that limit.

Tt powered chairs always drive in a woolly manor compared to a geared motor. Doesn't seem to matter how aggressively it is programmed.

Yes, I have driven older ones. But what causes the sudden lack of torque and inability to move? The motors start to feel hot, in even moderately difficult work. Like turning left right as you drive around a room or two. Seems to be worse when I turn the turn acc/dec up to a level that allows me to actually steer!

Must be something here that will allow me to fine tune!

Wont touch any of these till I speak to Dynamic or invacare. These are over and above OEM level. But theres one I really don't understand. Ambient temp? Theres no temp sensor in a wheel I think, so its case temperature of controller?

No-Boost Current Limit Value: 75 Amps
Default: 75 Amps Range: 64 - 255 Amps
No-Boost Current Limit - the Motor Current Limit applicable after the Boost period has expired.

Suspect setting this to 100A will cure a lot of the unpredictability...
And setting temp rollback higher...

Thats way beyond oem! Oem is intended for pride/sunrise/factory use etc. This is beyond that/them. This is really for the likes of Dynamics Controls development guys. Allows you to change some really interesting things.

One bit you might find useful, is the section on BATTERY. Have a read! You can configure it for lithium if you want. As you roll the mouse over the field, and the figure, the explanation and help appears at the bottom. So its actually quite simple if you understand whats going on.

Shirley this may also interest you.
This is the settings for my 10kph 6mph Storm 3... And is only in OEM mode. The difference is that in OEM level you can see all the same settings, but cannot change them. They are greyed out. Most here are grey in OEM.

We can UN-grey them!
Now, the only difference in top speed between the 6, 10, and 13kph versions of brushless chairs appears to be the setting called: INPUT DEMAND SCALER. see below.

On my 8mph (13kph) version it is set to 100.
On my 6mph (10kph) version it is set to 78.
On the 4mph (6kph) versions presumably its set to a lower figure still.

So if your chair is slower than 8mph you can speed it up.

Also see the ACCEL STOP X and Y fields. These speed up the "stop" after you position a chair by an inch say. You let go and it stops faster. Also interesting to make it more easy to drive indoors... There are similar ones that do the opposite.

You mean your 10kph STORM 3 is leashed , and now you can unleashed it to 13kph ?

WOW . That really amaze me .

Your last point catches my attention too .

Here people using MK 6i models are complaining that their chairs stopped with a few more inches forward rolling , even when they release the stick at a crawling pace .

Seems this parameter can solve the problem , itsn't it ?

Yes. If set higher it stops fast, the last few inches. But less smooth. Read the info in the box at the bottom. Set to 100 it stops dead as you release stick last few inches. Very sharp!
But this software cant work on the older pre dx controller can it?

Speed. MAX motor rpm is the same 220 on every brushless motor. They reduce it from 8mph (220) for all slower 6, 10kph chairs with the DEMAND SCALER parameter. So you just set to 100%. All brushless chairs are then 8mph.

GB-DX. GB-DX-AS. GB-DX2. Only I think. Maybe I am wrong? Square bus connectors.

Where do you hook it up ? To pm direct , or via joystick ?

Joystick.

It needs either a DWIZ ADAPT for the newest fancy colour screen REM550 or just a cable with no electronics for the REM24 for eg. And serial port, or a USB serial port adapter. But it only works on modern DX bus systems I think.

BTW , battery guy replied that minimum order is 100 pieces from SINOPOLY .

How many 40152 can be fitted ? Those 400 new old stock we've bought are very healthy , and economical .

How much are the 40152's per cell Shirley? Was thinking of building a pack for my F55 chair and get rid of those Haze batteries.

BM , you should give this 75Ah cells some thought again . Their IRs seems better than the brand new SINOPOLY 125AH .

Your box can fit 15 of them . Need 1 more . May be outside the box ? You will have 150AH then . 135AH @90% still .

Yes...

But unfortunately even this software will not allow us to change from 220... Which is 8mph.

That would buy me between 50-60 cells if I spent £300. Guess I'd have to buy the orange blocks and bussbars separately? Might be worth a gamble for a backup chair.
