Theres an ad on my site. I followed it... Before I saw the edge advert, I would have summed up that chair as 1 inch narrower than mine but...

Gets stuck easily on gravel, curbs etc so not much good in the outdoors.
Rough ride (no or inefective suspension other than on 3 small casters)
Weak with little torque due to miserable 75 amp controller and small group 22nf gel batteries.

Go read their ad!!! :D

Hmmm...

I'm a Q6 Edge owner, and in my opinion too much depends on how it is or is not setup. With access to a hand held programer, it can become an acceptable ride. I certainly haven't ridden in many, just one, and I'm an indoor user. When I first got mine it certainly had enough torque to rip the door frames apart. My dealer also was capable of setting it up so that every touch of the joystick resulted in whiplash like movements....

As far as programming goes, at least in the US, its not really easily possible to make the pride chairs steer properly. Its all but impossible to get hold of the required OEM level programmer. Even tech guys cant get it.

Thats not torque. Thats the delays and turn acc/deceleration settings. Some of which NEED access to OEM level tools to remove.

The tech guys only have access to the pretty crappy end user/dealer programming tools. This can be PC based, or hand held. Pride like to keep the tool you really need under lock and key and try not to acnowledge that it exists. They will send a modified file to a dealer if needed - made by this programmer - but will not allow these OEM or Manufacturing level programmers out to the dealer or public. You may think that the thing steers well now, but thats only because you have no experience of how good it CAN be.

Have a careful read of all of this page for eg: http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/powerch ... amming.htm

There is a way however. See the programming threads...
