Adam,
Open up your Q-logic pod....does it use a JC2000 or MAID Joystick....
The connection should look like this on the Joystick ... 8 pins and use a ribbon to connect the board to the joystick.

If so I already make Android bluetooth or RC controls using an Arduino.

Email me.

Hi Woody thanks

I have sent you a email told a little about my project.

I opened one of my joystick, the pictures attached seems not same as your picture?

I can open all my 5 joysticks to check if any one may match, because the remote control is a must for my stuff. Or maybe I can got one same as yours?

Best
Adam

I can only provide an interface with JUST 3 wires.... the connection to your socket will be down to you.

Was wondering if I brought the chair to someone, they could reprogram it for me. Dont mind the drive.

Thanks for your time Woody.

If you cant make the connector. Open the case, fit a small 3 pin connector by cutting one of these 2s balance cables in half. Solder one half to the charge connector in the joystick. And the other to your programming cable. When you want to program you need to remove screws to get to the connector.

Hi bm sent link to some cables I have, the two prong one I have filed down so they now fit in joystick socket.
Have sent picture link this way as kept getting error message about couldn't determine size.

Hi Rover220

Sons available and said he could run me up to you on Sunday if that's ok.
And just so we are clear on things, it a 5 pin enable 40 joystick and controller.
Apologies to Woody and BM for wasting their time, this is a safer route for me before I short out the whole lot.

Thanks Paul

No problem Paul.

I had previously wondered if the 50 of the part number / code was an indication of the model and it is now confirmed that it is indeed an indication of the powerbase type.

So we now have more definitive info on what lead / comms protocol is used by certain Pride/Curtis models.

The Curtis EnAble40 LOOKS the same as a Pride/Curtis CTLDC1552 or 1750-2009 and the EnAble40 manual suggests serial type comms ( RX / TX ).

It is however a variant of the EnAble50 and uses CAN.

A Curtis 1740 powerbase is an EnAble40 and a 1750 is an EnAble50 ...the 40 is programmed with a serial type lead and the other 50 uses CAN.

I am assuming that if the control system is an NE model that it is an EnAble40.... a check of the powerbase number should confirm this.

1740 is the number for an EnAble40....which should program via a Serial type cable using RX and TX.

Did Rover sort you out?
