Boris' victory was manna from heaven for them. They can scream Tory Brexit and Tory Government with every other breath, safe in the knowledge that Boris as leader of the Conservative and UNIONIST party (to guit it's full name), is not likely to give them a referendum.

But they may not even be allowed to join the EU, supposedly countries wishing to join have have a sufficiently large economy, although I thin they bent the rules for greece so the germans would have another market for their goods.
I may be wrong, but I remember shortly after 2016 sturgeon going over brussels seeking assurance that if scotland breakaway from UK they could join the eu. But she came back very crestfallen, I think the french said non, and the germans na (if that's how you spell no in german)
