Looking for DWIZ programmer kit

Postby wcd@tawebster.co.uk » 01 Sep 2021, 14:27

Hi all,

New user here so forgive any stupid questions/statements!

I'm using an Invacare Storm 4. It's like an old companion, old and knackered, and so I've acquired a younger second hand Storm 4 XPlore, and my plan is to transfer some of the gizmos off my old chair (DX2 controller, seat, leg-risers) onto the replacement chair. Problem is I've been trying to get my hands on a DX programmer kit, with little luck.

Does anyone have one that they are happy to lend/rent/sell? Or could point me the direction of somewhere suitable to borrow/hire/buy. I can't find one to buy that is a full kit - I understand this consists of/I will need:-
DWIZ cable, DWIZ-adapt, Dongle (DWD-OEM-U??), RS232 to USB cable, Software (downloadable?).

Happy to be corrected if this is wrong, or if indeed I'm looking at the wrong programmer??

Thanks in advance.

We moved past needing a dongle, or software or anything exept either a DWIZ adapt or a board made by woodygb on this forum about a decade ago.

So you can get the software from my, and a cable/d=wiz adapt from woody. And get oem and better access too.

You will need the modified software and an interface as described in this thread

https://www.wheelchairdriver.com/board/ ... &start=330

...pic attached below....pic shows a 4 pin molex but it should be substituted by a 3 pin Neutrik/XLR plug
