Can I use 300c wheels on my braun entervan?

Postby dannos85 » 10 Nov 2011, 00:55

The PCD on 300c wheels is 114.3

Entervan Voyager wheels are also 114.3 PCD

Will 300c wheels fit, allowing clearence for the rear sliding doors and F&R arches etc?

With the choice of 235/50/18 tyres or 245/45/18 tyres.

Will they stick out too far?

Any help?

Thanks, Dan

What is the offset?
What is the rim width?

Then I can tell you.

The 245/50-18 tyres (as on mine) get VERY close (5mm) to the door, and are only about 10mm off the front suspension upright with a 42mm offset. And an 8.5 width rim.

But diameter wise they are a fraction bigger than stock, filling the arches and the ride height is increased very slightly. This is the size I would go for.

245 45 are too small diameter. - looks odd.

The offset of the 300c wheels is ET2 ?
Voyager wheel is ET40 ?
This is according to a unknown person, but I take it with a pinch of salt.

Well 40 is correct.

2? Sounds dubious. But if its correct they will stick out about 1.5 inches too far You need a rim thats ET 35 to 42, and 8.5j (not less as it looks too thin, and 9j will not fit unless you go to 20" wheels/tyres)

AWD version = offset 45mm - so these will fit in 8.5 wide rims.
RWD version offset = 15mm (give or take 5mm) So these will not fit, as the wheel will be 1.25 inches too far out for the door to shut.

So its less simple...

So there is AWD & RWD versions of the Chrysler 300c?

So the flater looking version of the 300c wheels fit?
The deeper looking one will not..

" your reply at 7:03pm is based on thr RWD version?"

Yep theres two.

The dished one wont fit.
The other will IF its 35 to 42 offset, and 8.5 wide. I dont know, never saw one.

If its narrower, (like 7.5 or 8) it will fit but not look good. If its wider like 9 it will not fit.

As for tyres, look at my van. They are as big as will fit. 245/50/18. Going to 245/45/18 tyres (instead of 50 series) looks too small - tried those.

And 235 50 18 fit too. They dont look as good though. 35 offset with 8.5 wide rims are what I have.

Update.

Image Rim off ebay.

I decided to buy x1 chrysler 300c wheel from ebay.
I will get my mate over and fit this to the car , offer it up & see what clearence we have for the sliding doors & suspension etc
I got just 1 rim without a tyre at this point, so will just have to see how it looks.
Good or Bad?... I dont think there will be much luck here but I will take photos for Entervan/Voyager owners to see.

The wheel will fit. What exact size is it? What tyre? You will not know much without a tyre.

If its 18x8.5 a 245/50 will JUST miss the rear door, and the back of the wheelarc at the front... Given 35 offset.

I may swap mine. I really want 20s though...

I have no idea of the exact size, everywhere I look for info tells me something different.
This was the final decider to buy a single rim & see for myself.
Unfortunately UK MAIL have lost it in transit, so not happy. "to many sticky fingers"
Looks like I will get a refund and find another, I just bought a centre cap for this rim aswell, grrr.

Think kind and generous thoughts - mail the center cap, addressed to "The guy that swiped my rim"....

From what I can find out they will fit but are only 7 inches wide.

You need to look at concord/other chrysler rims, theses loads.

But 35 offset 18x 8.5 width is the ONLY sensible size.
Or same offset with 20 inch rims and J9 also look perfect and miss... Just.

I Have finally given up on this, I got my money back for the wheel that disappeared.
I found this image on ebay, and I now see how stupid it would look on a voyager, would stick out a mile and this seller states they are 6J so a bit slim.

So Thats the end of that then...

Yes...

8J looks "ok" as 18 inch, but 8.5J looks a lot better!
9J will fit just, on a 20 inch wheel. Between 35 and 40 offset on both.

Perfect style for the van, and 20s, and 9 inch wide, as wide as can be fitted and still miss everything on a 20 inch wheel/tyre.

I am considering a set. The price scres me though.

I looked at those when I got mine about 5 years ago. But found the "same" design or similar outlaw katana with 8.5 width and no "team dynamics" cast into the rim.

They are 45 offset too rather than 35 that I have though. I am sure mine are 35?

Would need to remove one to be sure now. So if those had same 145 50 tyres then would have 12mm of clearance on an 8.5 inch rim. I have 2 to 3. But on a narrower rim you will have about 4 to 5 mm more so 16mm including extra 10 offset between tyre/door.

Not sure if I'm remembering things correctly, and a quick search in JC Whitney didn't turn anything up, but I seem to recall seeing a listing somewhere for extensions on the arms of van doors to allow them to stick out further when opening - advertised application was to allow clearance for people doing custom interiors to get clearance for added carpeting and such, but seems like it would also give more room to clear fat tires...

Might be worth looking for.

On the lowered floor minivan, the bottom bracket / runner is also 10 inches lower than stock, and slightly different. They are by all accounts a right pig to get to work correctly at the best of times. So likely it wouldnt work easily. You can take the plastic lower 10 inch deep trim off and gain 1 inch. This allows a 9.5 inch wheel width, 275 tyres, on a 18/20 inch rim with a 22 ish offset. According to my brain cell! And there are loads available in this size. Van would look great but look odd on the inside though. :?

Fronts still need to be 8.5 and 245 tyres though or the tyre hits the back of the wheel arch on turning.
