Otherwise , go for 10” rims with short sidewall tyres .

Theres no way to do that. Unless skinny. And I hate skinny tyres, they sink on soft stuff and look like bicycles.

You don't need a drawing. Just as stock, plus 40mm extra width for 110, 50mmextra width for 120 tyres. Seal with O ring between the bolt holes and the edge. Cut a groove that is 3mm wide, 2mm deep. Fit 3mm O ring. Smear with silicone and bolt it on! The rim edges themselves are OK for tubeless tyres.

Cute, but where do you sit? (It is a new design wheelchair, isn't it???)

Thanks.
I had it with skinny grey tyres and punctures 20 years ago. They are just fragile, and you can squash them with fingers when removed. No strength or substance to them. And they sink on grass in winter too easily. 200kg plus myself! These are much tougher, designed for 70mph highway use. But it adds some width to the chair. Like about 3 extra inches. Making it 28 wide.

May I ask:

1.) The backrest looks heavy. Why no sling back?
2.) Why do you suddenly have a headrest?
3.) The footplates seem extremely long. Will you shorten them, to end up with something similar like your custom footplate?
4.) Why no mudguards?
My rides:
1 BM2/BM3 with 120 A R-Net and Odessey (Lithium in 2016)
1 SKS Swiss VIVA (spare, as only NF22 size battery)
2 Progeo YOGA (for traveling)

Back? Its plastic. So not heavy. But I did consider it. I don't need a fancy back. But, while the sling back allows a deeper seat by 1 inch, that doesn't help if the limiting factor in moving the seat (you) rearwards is the point where the centre footplate motor hits the lift mechanism. So why not go with the shaped one and a cushion. Don't know what's in the cushion but its very light and the middle is 1 inch thick. Hence the difference.

Headrest? Its actually a neck-rest. Because if you try tilting back, and recline, to use for pressure relief (main reason for the chair after suffering another 7 months on my bed) you need something there or your head wants to fall off! You suddenly discover that its very heavy. But it has to be low enough for the van entry.

Footrests. Yes too long. Will eventually fit a different plate. But for now they are the same as my size 11s...

Mudguards fit pretty close to stock rear tyres. And are narrower already. These tyres are big enough additional diameter extra, to hit the stock mudguards. And they will only cover half the tyre anyway so wouldn't have fitted. So rather than waste (200 pounds!) I didn't order them. And since the tie down in my van is raised off the deck, (to allow a shorter bolt) I needed this extra ride height too.

Stock tyres/mudguards...

My wheels are about an inch bigger diameter and 2 inches wider.

That looks good. I prefer feetrest that are longer, at least almost as long as my feet to avoid mashing my toes when I hit something or push open a door.

I'd like to know what this one weighs. Not book weight but actually rolled on scales. I know you have scales. I bought a decent crane scale to hang mine from my engine hoist to weigh them.

Do the front casters hit the feetrest since you moved the COG back? Most I've seen with elevating legrests hit anyway when all the way back. That's the issue with my builds. Either make the swingarms really wide, feet way out, casters small, or seat way farward. Have to do one or they'll hit. Compromise. Cutting your feet off would be easiest.

what i'm worried about is that these tyres would get slipery on slopes, especially on raining days, i was intending to ask you before you put them to work, do you need innerspace for them, Slightly bigger width , would it hit too ? // limited margin for tyres width same as diameter //how much is the max limit for both

about footrests, i always admired this type although never tried one, they look a bit longer than usual, but this is a man's choice.

the real concern for me when it's about weight, the heavier the chair is the more we need shok absorbers, i noticed that you already have 2 bothsides in the middle and other 2 in the back, maybe still not enough for a 200 Kg powerhair, have you considered adding some more, i think it would quite a challenge, but if done you'll enjoy it even more !!

Front wheels perhaps, there are chairs that might accept some extra shock absorbers under the seat, like the Quickie Salsa M2 i have, it has four 4 iron poles under the seat that can be replaced !

These tyres are for REAL vehicles ; motorbikes , instead of low end mobility wheelchair .

They have much better grip than your foam filled knnoby grey tyres .

Light weight chair actually need suspension more .

A loaded lorry reflects less bump , than an empty one .

Yes, indeed. I am still a bit low on cash but I shall contact Tom Killmore and Nandol's (is he still alive?) mechanic, who did a beautiful job (Pictures here: http://www.behindertenarbeit.at/44719/k ... lstuehlen/). I want to go brushless and Lithium as soon as possible. ;)
