WORKSHOP/BEDROOM!

FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN HOW I TURN OUT ONE OFF POWERCHAIRS TO A MUCH HIGHER STANDARD THAN THE 'BIG PROPER' MANUFACTURERS!

My wheelchair Adapted Kitchen is mostly just made bigger!
Rest of my adapted house is pretty clear, open, no clutter, maintenance free and doesn't "look" adapted. Which was the plan!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR:

Whilst the rest of my house is kept stupidly clean, clear, open, and clutter free, I have one bedroom that is both an office, a workshop, and I sleep in it too!

And its a mess!

This is where all the clutter and tools, and wheelchair building takes place. Its easier to think, and plan while sleeping in the middle of this workshop.

Even the carpets have huge holes worn in them. I don't care! I use this as a real workshop turning out built to perfection works of art like this: Lithium powerchair

I store parts in the garage. Where its clean, carpeted, and warm. I make, saw, solder, file, measure, and machine parts in this bedroom.

Its easier to think through problems, design, and make better decisions if you can look at all the bits laying around. And to prop things in position for days at a time.

Then look at it as you lay in bed, work at your computer etc. Gives me a better chance to think of better more elegant solutions, or to figure out some electronics or whatever. 8 to 5 jobs, and a workshop do not allow this.

So this room is where everything happens! It is about as tidy now as its ever been. Having just been painted, and now waiting for a new carpet. Then its back to finishing my latest powerchair, and rebuilding my crashed T-REX 500 helicopter...

My over clocked home built quad core, water cooled PC, with 8x hard disks, 12Gb fast RAM, 30 inch monitor... I am a nerd..

Tripods, engines and cameras, tools, on the floor. Planes, batteries, chargers, files, paper, chargers, power supplies, jet engines, fire extinguisher, transmitter, Cable crimps, leads, trays of parts and bolts, bearings, brushes, connectors etc...

This corner is still being painted in a hurry so I can get a new carpet in, and carry on building my BM3 powerchair! Note boxes of stainless bolts on the floor, dog bed in the corner, and a vice, and Myford Lathe in the corner of my room... And another grabber on the fire extinguisher. And a 2 year old summer only BM2 chair sat in the way.

Note small wear patch on the carpet... Soon to be replaced. There's another near the computer. Cheap disposable carpet. Lasts 3 years. Then replace. This ones 6 years old!

Camera box, some more planes. Notice PULSE JET powered delta hanging upside down from the ceiling. That thing is fearsomely LOUD!
