I got the cord that was mentioned and I cut the end off and there is no green wire just red, white and black?

I've come across the 3 wire myself...
Assume that black is gnd / common / neg and connect the other 2 wires together.

So far with all the 3 wire leads I've done this rule can be followed....

Assume the Black is always GND and the other two wires ...by default...must be RX and TX.

The only other way to be sure is to pop the case and look at the colours soldered to the 3 pads ... GND , RX and TX.

Excellent news that it arrived safely.

I'd like you to be satisfied that it works before arranging payment ... "try before you buy"....so install the software and give it whirl.

I have NO USE for the programming lead ..it was simply a project that I set myself to aid this community..and Brax's problem was ... if you like ... a part of the initial project.

Unfortunately I have no idea why his lead worked fine for me and vicer versa.

So ....
I can offer to look at your lead and try it myself IF you cover postage...
OR
I can buy in / purchase a lead ( that currently works ) from my Ebay source ..construct one and SELL it to you...at no loss to myself/minimal profit.

Cheers Woody

Wheelie ...
It should be noted that the two lead types I purchase and convert are thru Radio Arena UK and both ...if my Googling is correct ...made by RAYTALK.
Image

I did purchase a MUCH cheaper version .. also Chinese and KPG-4 / 46 ...to try ...and it ...like yours.... passes all the "tests" but will NOT connect as a single or one wire interface.

The lead and plug I purchase as needed via Ebay UK ..Next day delivery on the lead.

Kenwood KPG-4 Replacement USB RIB-Less Programming Cable
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kenwood-KPG-4 ... 564629dea2
£18.50

Approx £2.50 for the plug

So the parts cost £21 or $33

plus Postage and packing to you...and Paypal charges me to accept your payment .

The total cost will be close to $40 and I'm happy for you to recieve the lead and try it before paying me.

Your choice on paying upfront or "try before you buy"

Cheers Woody

Some people have been having problems with the Kenwood lead ... including myself with my new batch!.... SO ... a bit more research and a chat with Radio Arena plus Raytalk ( damn those leads are CHEAP direct ..but 50 at a time is to rich for me! ).. gave a new lead recommendation.

An Icom OPC-592 USB RIB-Less Programming Cable ..just 2 wires .. I've bought one and just tested it .. absolutely no problems!

So revised pic...old ones DELETED.

SUCCESS! Well finally with the help of Woody and Gologen I got the program working to program my Pride Q 6000Z. I used my Windows 7, the USB - Can adaptor on page 15, post 68 and Gologens LXN4py2si.dil. I really would like to thank these guy's for all the effort they have put in to make this happen. The Pride owners can mow have a chair that works the way it should. Thank you Woody & Gologen

Great news!

I haven't been following this thread, so I don't have all the details. Does the programming interface look like it will give access to everything you'd want?

So just to make things clear ...Gologen has found a way to make a CURTIS/Pride Q-logic Canbus interface for the community ...the lead I've researched should work for PGDT ..Pilot+ ,VSI,VR2 , Solo etc.

Assuming that you can acquire the software....

Cologen ..your download link for the LXN4py2s.zip file doesn't seem correct anymore.

Have you altered it?

Just for info

1314 PCPS v3.12 shows "Quick setup" in table view incorrectly
This bug was fixed in the next version of program V4.1.0 (Build 527)

To change parameters expand group "Quick setup" (click "+") and you can change every profile separate (not in the table).

Other problem: v3.12 doesn't work with text parameters. So text parameters can't be readed and changed.
I.e. If you try to get "Remainder" - "User Text" you get ERROR. In version 4.1 this bug fixed.
