I explained all this, and how to know, over and over! Look back, because the recopied links wont work now...

EG...

A 3.00 tyre is 3 inches tall, 3 inches wide.
A 3.50 tyre is 3.5 inch wide, 3.5 inches tall. Top, and bottom. In both cases you add the 8 inch wheel.

Metric tyres are different.

A 100/80 - 8 is:
100mm wide. (4 inches)
80% of 100 tall so 80mm tall top and bottom. (3.5 inches)

A 90/80 tyre is then...
90 wide or 3.75 inches
And 80% of 90 tall... OR about 78mm or 3 and 1/8 and a bit inches.

So this last tyre would be a little wider than a a 3.50 at 3.75. And the same height (tiny fraction bigger) as a stock 3.00 tyre.

EG https://www.mobilitypitstop.com/product ... oter-tyre/

And there are others. But ideally it needs a slightly wider rim. At around 2.75 inches. It will FIT your stock rim but will look narrower and be pinched in slightly.

Or 80/80 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/80-80-x-8-Bla ... 1674257970 is 3.15 wide and slightly smaller diameter than a 3.00 tyre...

Shirley - when your done with taking care of BM and Steve - looks like almost done -

if you dont mind - i be interested in getting some rims tires also - and hope i can get a adapter made afterwards -

https://world.taobao.com/item/848276094 ... 8fb6740212

something like this - but in a 8 inch rim for the 646se chair - 3.50 - 8 size ? 10 is nice also but maybe i should try 8 first keep it as easy simple as i can and hopefully can keep the fender in place

thanks

http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/monkey-bike-wheels Remember that these are not tubeless. You need a 3 inch wide rim or 2.75 rim for 3.50 tyre.

Again? Its about 1.75 to 2.25 wide... If a rim unbolts in half its unlikely to work with tubeless tyres. Some do such as the hegar rims.

These are one bit alloy wheels. download/file.php?id=5940&mode=view

ok - and the rims tires that shirley got you and steve are tubeless rims and tires ?

i was looking to get the rims also - not using my stock rims for tubeless tires -

shirely posted a link a while back - showing rims and tires for me in 8 inch rims with 3.50 8 tires - i though those were tubeless - now i cant find the same page link for the tires rims -

those look nice - so i need a 2.5 inch rim - those are tubeless ? 8 inch -

he linked to a set of rims and tires - i believed i saved that link - i guess not - cant find it now -

the rims were the same as he got you i believe - only 8 inch with nice looking street tires - i though it was a tubeless setup -

the reason i got interested was Shirley found nice looking rims - 8 inch size tubeless i believe- tires and the cost was cheap. and he can understand the page that i cant read and can get them etc, - the cost was good - and i figure i take a gamble with it and hopefully it works out - without spending too much for something that may not end up working for me -

its winter time - makes time go by faster this way :)

its really simple - i need to know first the rim size - as you said 2.5 inch is the size i need for the tire - shirley will find them easily over there - he can show me the rim he finds which he had already - i lost the link -

then i think it was a tubeless rim he found - with tires - thats all i need to know - i then have to see how i can get them mounted with adapter etc, - thats the harder part of all this - - given the cost he can get them for - i may take the gamble on it -

i felt better when i started the pack building than this tire thing -

i mean if its a tube rim and tire - i can do that now with the rims i have - no need to buy new ones - i can easily change the tire to a black tube tire - -and my rims are nice looking - black and Chrome - would be nice to use them with larger tires also -- and no need for anything to do on my end -

but the idea of a tubeless rim - and nice deeper looking dish rim - - is nice also - hopefully dosnt stick out too much thats the other concern -

Yes, its all about measurements, details. A 3.5 inch tyre has big sidewalls. So can go on skinny stock rims, from 1.75 inch stock, up to 3.5 inch wide. But the rim is then wider than the tyre. A 3 inch rim is wide and opens the tyre out and makes it bigger but isnt wider than the tyre. Putting a 3.5 tyre on stock rims squeezes it makes it narrow.

I lost count of the number of times I say these things. Nothing sticks! :o

This is a 180mm tyre on a too wide 200mm rim.

It opens out the tyre. Makes it wider.

Ok this i dont want - i dont want a tire to be streched out on the side like that -

i remember you said and shirley - etc, 3.50 tire fits fine on a stock rim also - fits better on the wider rim like you mentioned 2.5 inch rim - which is a bit larger wider rim over stock - but works fine -

i dont mind trying a 3.50 tire and 2.5 inch rim - - if i am going down this road - it should be a tubeless set up - or else i see no real reason to change my stock rims -
