Braun Entervan
This is another dropped floor side ramp / side door suspension
lowering conversion.
This is the equivalent Chrysler and the almost identical vehicle to
my own Rollx built van
here
And since great minds think alike its also black!
In this case here Toms van is a left hand drive (again) but converted in
Europe (Germany)
I think this one came from Steering Developments in the UK, and
it will have cost a fair bit
more than mine did as I imported mine from the US via Bekker Mobility.

Whereas Mine is
a Dodge Caravan SXT, Toms van shown on this page is a Chrysler voyager.
There are only minor trim differences and both are basically the same vehicle.
This one here
is a 2.8 Turbo Diesel though. Mines a 3.8 V6 petrol engine.
So toms is noisier, slightly slower and does about twice as many miles to a
gallon!
Horses for courses here but I would rather have a smooth petrol V6 personally as
I don't do enough miles for the diesel version to make any sense.
This van here may be for sale. If you are interested I will give you Toms email
if interested.

There
is almost no differences between
the Rollx and this Braun other than the conversion is done by completely different companies.
Not sure who copies who here but both are well engineered and finished. I cant
say that about all of the conversions I have examined (there are lots!) so be
careful and examine them carefully before deciding where to spend your money.
So
everything you can read about the Rollx van also applies to this
Braun Entervan here on this page! To read these
conversion details
just click the link
here -- it shows the ramp and kneel in action and many other details. Both
have the same 10 inch dropped floor for internal space, same ramp/door/lowering
suspension and are well trimmed and finished.

In the meantime here is a few images showing Tom Morgan's
2006 Braun Entervan.
The wheels are 20 inch x 9J ET 35 with 245/20 35
tyres. Mine are only 18 inch wheels as I am not too sure how practical a set of
20s really is!
Stock wheel sizes are a tiny 16 inch with 225 tyres! They look
plain silly on these vans. These 20s do look good though.
I suspect that
17 x 8.5 inch or 18 x 8.5 inch wheels
would be ok if you spend a lot of time driving up and down curbs, or on farm
tracks.
They are absolutely fine on my van. 19 x 8.5 or 20 x 9 inch wheels
may be a bit more of a problem unless you are careful and drive mainly on good
modern roads avoiding curbs. |
